Chief Nursing Officer

Caridad Hernandez, RN, MSN

Caridad Hernandez is the chief nursing officer at UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital-North. In this role since January 2025, Caridad oversees nursing operations and workforce management. She drives quality, safety and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Caridad previously spent 19 years with Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida, where she established and led a telemetry rehabilitation department designed to manage medically complex rehabilitation patients. Her work helped expand clinical capabilities and improve care coordination for high-acuity rehab populations.

Caridad has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida International University and a master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University.
